InBody BWA 2.0S Body Water and Composition Scan

Every patient at Faircape Health Institute receives a quick, non-invasive InBody BWA 2.0S hydration and body composition scan.

What it is

The InBody BWA 2.0S is a medical-grade bioelectrical impedance analyser that measures how your body is made up - water, muscle and fat but in far more detail than a scale can. It gives our dietitians objective data to guide your plan and track what is really changing.

We use it to track:

  • Fat loss and muscle gain
  • Hydration and fluid retention
  • Recovery from injury or illness
  • Weight and wellness goals
  • Progress over time
  • Safe and painless
  • Radiation-free
  • Completed in one minute

What happens during the scan

Soft clamps are placed on your wrists and ankles. The scan can be done standing, seated or lying down, and the full appointment takes about 10 minutes.

What the results show

  • Total body water
  • Hydration balance (intra- vs extracellular)
  • Muscle mass
  • Body fat and body fat percentage
  • Segmental results for arms, legs and trunk

Your dietitian walks you through the full report and what each result means for you.
